Fascinating.  Good that the dreamer can wake.

Very vivid imagery; I liked how runaway is used but it was like an escape for me, too! And the allure of 'running away' has gripped me from time to time! It's the feeling of freedom and being uninhibited, or even to start anew!
I am just getting out to read for the day! We had high winds forecasted and I spent most of the day getting ready for it to minimize the damage. And, my Jes was in town! She took me to lunch and then we went shopping for clothes for work! She is so tiny, size 3, and the clothes she fits into are so darn cute! How is my darlin' Shobana doing this fine day, aka, fine evening? Love you dearly and for grins this song came to my mind while I was reading your poem, Ive always thought it would be fun to do one day, but not for an extended period as in the song! Love you dearly, too! Your sam

Aw my dear girl, the dream seems to have an attachment to your terrible grief over dad. Sooner or later in the fullness of time all the running will stop and you both will be at peace mystically hugging one another, I know.

I am glad that wasn't my dream!  It seems quite traumatic and exhausting

shobana, you've captured well some of the helplessness and hopelessness
of the Runaway...or is the "Runaway" just a dream?..this is a great little poem!.....

Well Shobana I'm not going to try to analyse your dream but it is pretty obvious where the runaway comes into it. This poem forces one along, one wants to know what will happen next. I think it is quite interesting it feels something don't ask me what

This is so unusual. It is very interesting you are running away and still
you don't appear to feel as if your are being chased. Let us know if this persist.

I've had many dreams where I ran and went no where and felt so much relief to have woken up.
