That is very true - I find sounds have stronger memories than images

lionreign, you're a much more patient man than I...lol...

When I get a song in my head, especially if I'm writing, I find a few knocks against the side of the computer desk sometimes helps...

I'll have to remember your words here...they're much easier on the head.....

Re: Corncrake
It is often something I enjoy, but sometimes the music is too loud to hear my own thoughts

Great.  It is good to have a wide variety of music tucked away in one's memories.

This is so wonderful; I hear songs and it reminds me of people and I sit back and listen and reflect on them, too! Only not in the romantic way as this gorgeous poem alludes! BRAVO!!! sam

It must be nice to hear music in one's mind lionreign, a soothing process would imagine before on embarks on a poem. Very nice example

I think my friend that words or music is all the same... is the essence of what we feel what we into  something tangible transform and that is the gift... to be able to translate into what others can also feel what we in our core felt... Wonderful poem Neil... xoxoxo

You found words anyway!
When music starts up in my head I change the station to something I like better. If there must be music haunting me, let it be something I really like.
