Re:
Thank you Shobana I wrote this after reading your tribute, I suppose it brought back memories and then I had to write the fun one to return to normal. Not very often one can do this and I appreciate your advice. You are very sweet.

Re: CORNCRAKE
Well Wiley I didn't really want any one to feel sad, but I guess we never truly forget.

How very sad CC..you have written such a beautiful poem CC. Thank you for stopping by and for your concern and words of comfort. There is a line in this magnificent poem you wrote that touched me..how does one bring about bliss when in pain? It is quite easy CC,,it happens when you know pain that you understand another's pain and in turn try so hard to bring about happiness, laughter and bliss for one - it is all in the "giving".

There is sadness, but I love how you arranged the imagery! It has a universal feel to, so many can relate! I think that makes a poem great! sam

sometimes it all just pops unbidden into the head and one wishes they
hadn't ...back then. Such thoughts are regret and sadness.

I cannot imagine what it would feel like to have one's dreams completely trouble. Even during my darkest days I always had something to hope for.

There is so much to think about in your poetry.  Often you send me back into my memories of yesterdays and people and places that have always been important to me.

CORNCRAKE
"One sad beacon flickering" that kinda jumped out at me, I felt that I was once that in my life, after my former wife died of brain cancer. Great poet you are old chap.
