tearing up and smiling both...yes, daughters are for daddies..

..your dad went home to be with God in perfect peace.

Shobana
You were blessed to have your dad visit and then pass on. Dad had you in one hand and his God in the other. Now both of them will carry you through all of your days.
Like the poem of the ship that leaves it's harbour and all the folks on shore tearfully waving their goodbye's. On that other shore other folks like your dad's family and friends are happily waving to welcome that same ship, and your dad, into Heaven's port.
God Bless you luv.

If only we could just have one more day with our loved ones. You capture the pain of never seeing him again on this earth so well.

It was really beautiful Shobana, I nearly cried as I read your tribute to your father. To have such a loving family is a joy rarely achievable these days. You are brave in your own way to write such nice poetry with the pain evidently still fresh. One sometimes forgets what is happening to others, probably not wishing to revive those sad black days that we all have to pass through.
