Almost as much fun as reading the poem, was reading the comments that everyone made about you writing the poem.

Re:
My goodness Troosha it takes a time to answer comments. I do read your lovely poems whenever you post, but I don't know what to say sometimes and I can't joke with you because you are a married lady, but I am glad you have returned so many keep fading away

I think like a lot of men in the mind Katray, though not all obviously or there would not be chaos.

Re:
Well I try to be respectable Sam, it is a different world now. Yes we do miss the wretched things I never sign out of blogit but this morning it wanted my password and wouldn't accept my email. I was in a bit of a moody because I have a lot on today damned hoovering day and all the old fashioned greengages have become ripe suddenly and are falling in the wind. I have so much fruit this year, it is a freaky growing season next year it might be the opposite. Good luck with Calamity Jane.

I didn't expect youth to come out at the end, so it was a nice surprise! I thought the line with the waist getting rounder and youth becoming much younger was very poignant! I don't have my computer up and running yet, but I think by Sunday! The tech is not in this country so Sunday for me is their Monday! I will be so happy when this ordeal concludes. I miss my computer so much! sam

A great poem and easy to read, sort of like splashing water in my face, a window into you and the images of your life, I will read it again when I have time to fall into it a little deeper. Well done...and thank you so much for your comments. I'm not really so down they are just a way to explain what's next.

Being so frank takes a lot of ability and courage to do so. What makes this poem stand out to me is that there are fragments that I have seen and heard in my own life...I read your response to my blog post today in Anything and Everything. Your comments do a wonderful job in making me think like your poetry.

how it is
Pardon me, but of all this wonderful poem the phrase that my poor memory will recall in future years when thinking of you is "martyr to repectability".  Not that I believe a word of it.  And thank you for your visit and kind words.
