Oh yes... the mind has room for so much. Sounds strange, but I know for me sometimes just a breeze on a quiet starry night, and simplicity and I are buddies again. LOL!

In reply;
I am assuming that by asking 'do opposites reside in some people?' that you could put that another way by saying 'do contradictions in someone's personality exist?' And that I don't believe. I think people cannot understand even themselves why they think or behave in a certain way or do not recognise the motive of what makes them think or behave in a certain way, but this does not mean that their behaviour/thought is not logical.ie; the reason for their thought/action may not be apparent, but it will be there, somewhere...

Straightforward, there are a lot of "Dr. Jekyl & Mr. Hydes" walking around
out there...and one can't help wondering if its even beyond that in some people and the person suffers from schizophrenia..

I absolutely think that we are all complicated and simple at the same time... Sometimes we are open and giving so to others we seem easy and uncomplicated... others we are more guarded and conflicted so we appear hard to understand.
BTW, thank you for your coment on my latest opoem and yes you are right, trees can get stronger if pruned... but what I was reffering to were the branches already cut, not the tree itself. Sometimes, when we cut some branches off a flowering tree... the cut branches don't get the memo that they are dead and they still flower... Its amazing to see... specially if like me when I saw it you are 7 loll...I don't know about you but I know my dad did not care much about the miracle that just happened or my amazement about it and used them for firewood anyway :-) I meant to compare those dead flowered branches to the beautiful memories of a love that has already died... xoxoxo

I think some of it the emanation given off by a person who appraises the other, it probably subconsciously defines fight or flight in a now obsolete mode.

I think that perhaps we are compatible with certain moods and modes
in other people... when we both have those moods then they seem simple, but when they are in another then they seem suddenly complex

I think we all have different "beings"
living within our minds. I've had several conversations with myself, silently. I often argue with myself, too. I think that's how we get through certain times in our lives.

we all have a dark side...it is good to get to know our dark side
so we can control it.

I certainly do because I have known a few in my life! There were times I wondered who I was talking to! Mind boggling! sam

Without a doubt..
They do within myself and I'm sure I'm not unique..:) I guess realizing and then understanding the differing factions paves the first step toward peaceful merging or at least, co-existence. Can make for rocky relationships but on a lighter note, is an antidote for boredom.

Interesting post!

I believe that opposites can reside in the same person. The true self is covered by many layers. Some are complex. Others are not.

Yes, of course. Some people don't even know or understand themselves, or why they think, react, feel the way they do. Good question.
