Re: Re: I love the idiot proof rule

A word of warning to those with items for sale here on Blogit.  Each sale is directly through PayPal with a fee of 30 cents + 1.9 to 2.9% (depending on total PayPal volume), rounded up.  For example, of the 54 cents that Tzippy paid for my sonnet, 32 cents went to PayPal and 22 cents to my company, of which 4 cents is for sales tax, leaving my company with only 18 cents.  I am therefore raising the price to 90 cents, with any future customers paying 97 cents after taxes, so that my company can net 50 cents on each sale.  I can see now why many who are using this feature of Blogit are charging so much for short works in a very limited electronic form.  The transaction costs are killers!

Those of you with a Kindle can buy the whole book of sonnets in a more convenient form here for $3.  My company gets $2.10 on each sale plus a little advertising via the book's ranking getting a boost.

Thanks for your patronage in whatever way.

Good instruction..
I have been here a while and still hoping for some changes (read: improvements) in some ways.. The things that has been keeping me here is the good friendship that other blogiteers offer me, despite the lack of features and instructions -for the features that exist- of the site..

Re: I love the idiot proof rule

Thank you, Tzippy!  You are the first to buy my "item", so I am the newbie in this transaction.  I believe it is hands off for me, but if it isn't, be sure to give me a nudge.

Thanks much,

Carl Peter

Re:
Neither did I but, once it did, the lack of blog entries for new members made perfect sense.

Re: links
By highlighting some text in your post and then clicking the icon with the blue-green circle (the "world" in "world wide web") and connected chain links.  In the pop-up box which appears, put the web address you want to link to in the URL text input box and click "OK".
