TAPS
I hadn't considered that Taps - just think, I'm a hero!   If it wasn't for me her dessicated corpse could be half way to Virginia via creepertendril.com delivery.

It must have been pretty surprising to find her among the Virginia creeper tendrils.  You probably saved her life.  Those things grow so fast she probably would have been strangled before her sunbathing was over if it weren't for you.

BC-A
And with a little bit more luck, it will roost here, BC-A    Preferably not with a skin like a Kentucky Fried Chicken.

majroj
That's a thought majroj.  Perhaps she was only 13 going on 93.  If she'd been starkers I'd still be in hospital getting new eyes.

Maybe she just looks older due to sunburn?

And, lucky she wasn't starkers. (;)

cpklapper
That would make sense cpklapper.  The hundred year olds would also be pickled on the inside and crisped on the outside.

She could be like one of those hundred year old women
who attribute their longevity to drinking whiskey and smoking a cigar.

Whacky
That is a great description Whacky.  Maybe she sells her extra voltage to the electricity company?

sam444

I am surprised she doesn't already have skin cancer, sam444.  Heck, since I came to Canada I've had skin lesions and different skin problems because of the heat - something I wasn't expecting.  I was expecting my fingers or toes to fall off because of the cold.

The mental attitude confused me, sam.  Did she think just because it was cooler by the river that the sun wasn't so hot??

Sooo
She is like a living solar panel I guess?

I am so surprised she is not fearful of skin cancer; it takes so many lives annually! I wonder how you will ever get the picture of her out of your mind! It had to startling! lol sam

Pat_B
I don't know how she did it Pat.  Yesterday was so hot that the spiders inside my car shriveled up and died of the heat.

If she were lounging here today, she'd be a crispy critter in no time.
