When I have to give Bo meds peanut butter works for him he slobbers up the peanut butter (crunchy) along with his pills. Shhsh don't tell him...

My heart is with you...
I crush the pills and mix them with a favorite food. In my Davy's case, taht would be anything edible. Well, mostly edible...

I wrap Bud's medication in cheese too, Nautikos - then watch to make sure he swallows. Did the vet warn you about the pain being that bad? Or how long it is to last? Poor fellow - he probably feels as bad about biting you, even though it's a normal reaction.

Oh dear, that is so sad..maybe there are shots of painkiller that can be given instead if he doesn't take it in orally and in so much pain. I hope your hand recovers too. All the best of luck to the both of you Nautikos.
