very informative and interesting post, I shall visit it more often...
the jews being expelled seems to be a recurring part of history. I wonder if you can gather a bunch of dates of jews being expelled, it would probably be too long of a list for one blog. I know that they were expelled from egypt around 1967, and from all the arab countries before that in 1928 or 1920. I think they were expelled from Russia too sometime before world war I ,

Persia and Iraq, your posts are so interesting to a history guy, did you know that it the Germans under Hitler who convinced Persia, their ally, to change their name to Iran, the word for Arian in one of the languages, but I can't remember which. But still interesting.
