Lustorlove - I remember growing up with that song playing on the radio and I think it was Frank Sinatra and there was another by a lady - I cannot remember. Thank you for the visit.

 I just found it on the internet under "7 O'clock News/Silent Night" described but not performed  - an artful overlay of a news report ("Richard Speck...")and the Christmas carol that you have to hear to believe - it leaves you stunned and breathless.   I guess you need the Simon & Garfunkel recording.

If you've never heard or read Simon and Garfunkel's "The Seven o'Clock News", trust me, it's worth the trip.  I still don't know if it's art or not, but it knocks me speechless each time I hear it.  It's very much like your poem - only

different.
