The concept that there are often hard consequences before good can be achieved is lost. We can't even swat little bubba's butt so he will grow up a decent little fellow now he may have his feelings hurt and nobody will owe him anything. God bless you!

Why indeed, especially since those two bombs saved not only at least a million of American lives, but untold numbers of Japanese lives as well! Japanese losses would have been very much higher than American losses, judging by the difference in killing rates at the time...
