I haven't much faith that it will ever be "remedied".

Naut, I can see why many would prefer that we become totally isolationist.
If indeed we pulled all of our overt and covert economic financing and meddling in policies off the table, in most of the world's countries, how much less harm would be done? If we were to severely pare down our military forces, and ship the huge majority of our men and women in most of our government overseas foreign service assignments back home, perhaps the rest of the world could solve their own problems. We have had our fingers in so many pies, since well before Teddy Roosevelt was president, that it does make some sense to give such a possibility a chance to succeed, just to learn of the worldwide effects of our meddling in the affairs of other governments. The enormous expenditures squandered by contributing to every faction, has many costs beyond the monetary ones, too. (human lives) In our insane drive to always gather maximum political and military clout, we throw away the national treasure, and in OUR time of greatest need, this is no small consideration.

Many are unaware of what is going on here, I'm sad to say. This article has been stunning to me.

Naut, do you see it building up to a level of no return where Israel

will be pushed into the corner and be forced to use nuclear weapons?

I thought U.S. have always supported islam from the first day of israel's independence, but I didnt know it was the way it is today.

Israel is in denial as it he u.s. about the consequences....
