Today I have been catching up with your tale - what a terribly sad and dreadful experience! This Fryder fellow is disgusting - but what, in Heaven's name, was wrong with your mother to tolerate all that?

She didn't know you. She was afraid of you she could not speak your language so fear breeds anger and meaness. I am sorry for that one more brick already piled on your little frame. God bless you dear one.

I think every child had been the butt of 'sneers from peers' at one time or an other. It's all part of growing and learning. Not being able to understand the language or the culture at the time made it even harder for you, I imagine. You tell it well.

I remember being cruel in school.....German children came to school
their father worked for my Uncle......they were immigrants in the early 1950's......I know we made them uncomfortable and they brought head lice into a school that had never heard of such a thing happening. Poor kids I look back and realize they had a horrible time.

I'm "u-gli" too
such are the pronouncements of our peers, of which the rulers of education are so fond.

Kids can be so cruel when they can't understand. The kid probably just didn't like your family being different and said something bad. Their parents should have been calling the authorities on the Creep that ruled your house. No wonder you like SciFi after having had to live with that hostile alien and have it take over your once happy family.

Reading of the kid making fun of you breaks my heart. I'll never understand why kids do these sorts of things to one another or for that matter all of humankind!
