Being a cynic is being young, growing up.
Maturity is amusement, patience and tolerance. Enough of that and we eventually might reach wisdom.

You do sound young, Brittwit...
Give it time. My best advise to any young person is to go slow. Marriage can be wonderful but it's definitely nothing to rush into! You'll know when the time is right. And, if you find you were wrong in the long run, you will have learned from it and have time to try again. It will happen.

I was married once, wasn't into the lifetime of fixing! And if this thought makes you comfortable, for me, that is all that matter! Marriage is nothing but work in my humble opinion! sam

I can relate to this, my son was just talking to me the other night how no one stays together anymore, they have one fight and its adieus. His girlfriend of 9 months did that to him unexpectedly.

You are wise beyond your years
I know I should not have allowed myself to be pushed into marriage. My kids are great, but both my wives ended the marriage and killed me with divorce.
