Our state of consciousness
I'll not telling you anything you don't already know. Many like to kid themselves.
My daughter just returned to Colorada after a month in a Buddhist monestary in upstate New York. She's between jobs. She sent me an email of what she learned. I think I'm a Buddhist and didn't know it.
Here's my resposne to my daughter.
I'm a non-comforist--a maverick. I get agitated over people who don't understand. I have a scientific approach. Where is your mind? You exist in a state of mind. A state is boundless. You limit your awareness to that which you believe is plausible. If you live by your emotions, you have not developed into the human you were meant to be. Animals have emotions. You are jumping through man's hoops.
If you want to know how something works you examine the parts. That's what quantum physiicists do. They examine the smallest excitations of matter--subatomic particles. Subatomic particles exist in a state of infinite possiility.
Your thoughts don't take form and shape. Your thoughts interact with the microcosmic world, the world of infinite possibility. From your thoughts, you make your reality.
On earth as it is in heaven, in the Lord's Prayer, where is heaven? It is the state of mind. We have materialized in the space time consortium, and for a purpose. While we are in this moving environment, with the opportunity to advance our state of mind, we are drops of individuality here from a great ocean of universal consciousness, "God said, Let us make man in our image" (Gen. 1:26), and God gave man dominion over all other life. We have discovered intrisic values that don't change. We know good and evil. We are like gods. We don't need the authority of the chuch or state. We are created to cope. At long last, we are getting around to knowing who we are and what life is about. The Age of Aquarius is an age of brotherhood. I'm Aquariuis rising. As I age, I understand frtom astrologers, I become more my rising sign, and more of an impersonal, unemotional mind engaged in universal service..
