I have obviously come just in time....to have missed something big going on. Not sure what happened, but I always feel that views should be written in a more neutral fashion without attacking - or if an attack is made, then bring up the flaws of what you're defending also. But that's me, and I stand neutral on a lot of things, so I'm definitely not someone to listen to. But I thought I'd share.

Hope all goes well.

I fully agree; however, I do not believe sweeping things under the carpet allows them to change for the better. It is better to get them out examine them and see where the wrong was, how it was allowed to occur then how can we prevent that or something else as bad occur again. If we ignore bad it will grow. Thank you for your comment.

ZJusti, for myself an unfavorable comment should be written Christian or as an example that one should set for themselves in love. No good can be said about the Holocaust. However the other one should set an example to all. On Blogit hopefully one can give the old college try to win them. You see it's the how that should change not the opinion love. BC-A, Bill’s RJLst

I don't see disagreement as fighting. I see it as turning over issues until you have learned the truth. I can't tell someone I like something I don't I will say something else. I have a hard time with lying and to me I would be lying. Love you, yes I do!

FOR I LIKE TO READ BOTH SIDES OF A DEBATE ...BUT I DON'T WANT TO FIGHT WITH EVERYONE EITHER...WELL NOT TOO OFTEN.... AND MOSTLY THE ISSUES FOR DEBATE ARE HOUSEKEEPING WITHIN YOUR COUNTRY.....

Thank you so much for this comment, we can get somewhere if we agree to look at issues from both our perspectives and not in demanded agreement. To respond to your first paragraph I do not think the two periods can be compared across the borad. I lived in both. We know there was not the information available to the general public as is now, the broad education and rights allowed the people there are today.
There is no doubt the US is headed and is being formulated for a downfall of unimaginable proportions. My feeling about those previous periods and today are not about a holocost. It is about progressive world co-op. I am not tryng to compare Hitler to anybody or anything. I am trying to say circumstances so incredibly wrong that the people need to cry out. You could say that about China and Russia and many of their leaders. The Iron Curtain and the Bamboo Curtain were real. In the groups that surround our President now many are so proud of Mao Tseung as a great man. Truth is he was a ghastly murderer. I have problems with so many things and the way they are being done today that lead to the acts of Stalin etc.,. Maybe you don't remember when even sports events would bring people from those countries who would plead for asylum in the US. We are going in the wrong direction and doing so decidedly with a plan that straps those who would and do hold the country up, those such as yourself. You are not looking.
The by-laws of ACLU talk of taking away the rights of average people to own property. I don't remember the exact language but it is about all the property being in the hands of the government, yes I did read it, I did not hear it on tv or email. The cap and trade issue is making so many people so rich, and will take away the property and jobs of so many. It will come to the point that we will not be able to repair our homes to meet code and loose them. No my response is not run away fear it is staying in touch with people and the times at the grass roots level for a very long time. Yes, I too am a college graduate which all of you seem to think I am the personification of ignorance.
When I was in school there was a greater education of truth of the real history of this country, the cruelty toward both Indians and people of color, any color. We, in the South were taught how bad all that was. We as a group are not more racially motivated against the dark skinned peoples than those of any other part of the country. Many don't even know Alabama had many areas totally against slavery and two counties that almost pulled out of the Union because of that. Now racism is being propelled to new hights and much of that coming from the White House. Acorn and the Black Panthers and what Eric Holder has declared is a danger not a help.
I am concerned with the drug and prostitution issues from those that we can't check out. The idea that profiling is a problem is really crazy. If you are black or hispanic and are stopped simply for that purpose you can sue. If not all people should have to declare their right to be in this country, black, white or purple. It is a matter of justice, maturity, law, simply being able to tell right from wrong, good from bad and allowing those who belong here to be here, make mature, just decisions about children born to illegals, not go off half cocked.
The way politicians go to all sorts of lengths just to be elected. Nothing short of selling their own children. The rights they have given themselves such as life time pay even after one term. The truth of the Gulf Oil spill. Those wells will be sold to other countries, it is already happening. Washington DC is selling out the residents of this country, no matter what color, income, or education. It is a world-wide toss. Obama is a puppet and we are going down a bad road.
I am not concerned about dems or republicans I am concerned about a modern day group of pre-Hitler, Mao Tseung, Stalin, on and on we are getting so close. Yes I am concerned about the fragile lack of friendship toward Israel. But that is a different issue God is in control of that of which I have absolutely no doubt. It is what is happening here.
The people in our military are volunteers. They volunteer to keep us safe and there are those who want to stop their benefits, treat them terribly and others who do not see the ignorance of that. Yes I am concerned about ignorance and bad manners they are more important than what is given them. Our President is incredibly ill mannered, insulting blatantly and openly to many that show where his concerns lie, not in the best interest for this country as a FREE COUNTRY!
If you don't agree or anyone who does not agree that is totally your right. I am tired of being jerked around just because I don't see things just as everybody else does.
These are my feelings based on many years of seeing this come to this point of danger.

Re: I just wonder where the Tea Party was during Bush's terms
Katray, RE: RSM, furthermore, if others of the Tea Party also harbor bad intentions towards American Muslims, as is indicated by political speeches arguing for the "2nd Ammendment Option" as Senate Candidate Sharon Angle calls it -- appealing to the emotions of NRA wannabees and Tea Extremists -- then there is a major issue there. What made RSM's threatening comment so insidious was that he confided conspiratorially.

I just wonder where the Tea Party was during Bush's terms
When he and Cheney were busy ripping our liberties - Patriot Acts, anyone? - apart, lying us into needless wars and war profiteering for themselves and their cronies, breaking the law by detaining without warrant or attorneys and torturing suspects, tax cuts on the wealthiest, triggering the economic crash, hobnobbing and huddling with questionable but elite allies, such as dictatorial and extremist Saudi princes...where were the charges of fascism, tyranny, terrorist supporter etc. then? In the very recent past? Just curious...
And btw, RSM was banned because he violated Shaycom's terms and conditions of use by writing a threatening comment. I wonder why that seems to be so hard for some to understand when it is an agreement we all are supposed to read and one that we all sign on to when we join Blogit..

justi , as you know a great member of this team has been expelled from
blogit for speaking his mind, so yes, you do have something to worry about.
Should you just speak your mind until and unless they silence you: yes it is your god given right to do so, and not to be intimidated by those who want you silenced. Would have told those who spoke out against hitler not to speak out because they were not listened to?
dont forget the light is stronger than the dark, because darkness is just a lack of light. so shine your light and let it fall where it may........

Justi, If I follow your reasoning, you are comparing 1936 -- 1945 Nazi Germany with the 1970 -- 2010 America. You are saying that in 1936 if enough German patriots would have spoken out against the repression and violence against the Jews, then that would've been a good thing; and I hear you say or imply that those who now speak negatively about the last 40 years in America, that they are being treated as the evil ones.
If I understand you correctly, you think that USA is heading, perhaps much slower than happened in Germany, toward a new holocost of some kind? Or merely that you feel disrespected for speaking out the way the German people should have spoken out against Hitler?
The meaning that I draw from this comparison is that you indirectly anticipate an American holocost, and I assume that you mean the undermining of the constitution by means of the Homeland Security Act, the various bailouts, the new health care bill, failure to secure the border, the ballooning national debt ratio. (Or do you mean the destruction of Israel?)
And I get that. Where I have trouble with your imprecise analogy -- and all analogies are imprecise to a certain degree -- is the negative connotations of comparing anything modern with that. Bringing Hitler into the equation is a turnoff whether you are comparing him to the prez, the Statue of Liberty, the Queen of England. It detracts from your argument.
Some might even say that it is an unfair analogy because the American Presidents of recent history have tried to spread peace, security and global economic growth. That seems like it would invalidate the analogy.
But I do get your comparison, and your feeling of responsablilty to speak out in favor of your opinions. And I totally respect your right to your opinions.

How do I say that
When I read something I like, or something I relate to I make a comment to let that writer know I like their stuff. I like your stuff and I would tell you to express your true self. You most be true to you, after all you don't have to live with us.
