Dave C. was a gifted humor writer, imo and a great motivation to other writers; always so encouraging and supportive. He was/is a teacher too. I wish he would have found another way to make his point..
If I remember right, he started taking issue with the way the site was run; rankings, etc. He felt like Blogit management wasn't paying attention to their customers and increasingly became more belligerent toward the staff, using sarcasm in his posts to swipe at them. They warned him to tone it down more than once, but he kept going with it until one day they told him not to post a repetitive sing-song type of thing that was instantly recognizable as directed at the management. And that was that, he was gone. I believe what he was doing violated the terms by posting the same thing daily. I may have it wrong somewhat, but that is what I remember. From an old timer, Lol..

shelly, no, you are right. You, BC, and Ariala have always been close. I think she had problems in her personal life. Addictions and appetites like most of us. Probably learned what to indulge and what to suppress. It wasn't you I'm sure.

don't even get me started on banned bloggers! LOL (just kidding)
I have to admit that some of these bloggers were very good writers! Their personalities just stunk at times. As for Passion Flower, we were once friends and then I have no clue what happened. She turned her back on me and started treating me and others like crap. I sometimes think that she was a little jealous of my friendship with Ariala and Blackcat. She wrote lies about me and the others on blogit and wouldn't stop when asked. She just went too far! I'm probably missing something but that's my story.

I don't remember who exactly was involved, but there were one or two people who were angry with him for some of the things he posted...saying that it wasn't his work and he wasn't giving the proper credits to the author(s)

For the last two months, I have tried to maintain some level of consistency
in my posts, not always successfully because of work and family duties. However, I have only earned $5.40 per month to offset the $12.95 charge. So, it appears to be the case that Blogit is not a profitable endeavor. I will try the experiment for a few months more until I finish a little task...

Passion was also banned, she didn't just leave...she would have never done that, she had too much fight in her.
I used to like her quite a lot, and then there had been situations between us, and basically we stopped talking quite some time before she actually got banned.
She had become quite argumentative and I think maybe a little paranoid. She had issues with some of the top bloggers at the time. She had felt they were attacking her, and she would post constantly, using their names, and they did not like that. Other than that, I'm not sure exactly the reason she got banned.
I liked Dave... and Blanche and I were just starting to comment to each other before she got banned...so I didn't have much opportunity to get close to her.
There was Mary...but I don't think you were here during that time.

I can tend to use Blogit as an escape when I can't deal with the real world, but it has been a highly enligtening and friendship escape that has been good. I have to be disciplined to treat it as a supplement, and not a drug. Of course I want to have something significant to contribute.

Excellent insights!
I remember Whammie had some extremely personal, off line issues with a couple of other bloggers. And she wouldn't cease and desist writing about the situation involving said bloggers when repeatedly asked to do so. Things got pretty heated and she kind of became unhinged over it all. Really a shame; she had a lot going for her, both writing wise and otherwise.
The one banning I still can't understand to this day was of the funny and highly gifted guy from England, Dave..
I ROFLMAO many a time thanks to him and he was also so supportive and encouraging. Anyway, great post, Dsm!

I would rather be number in most comments then I know I am supporting my fellow writers! It doesn't take much work to be #1 when one only has one blog! In fact it really wouldn't take that much reading on a daily basis to maintain it my humble opinion! sam

A great post and a tribute to some fine bloggers that I was friendly with as well, like passionflower. She just got mad at somebody and left but I still occasionally get an e-mail from her. I'm happy you're back here and I wish your new name made sense to me because I'm old and can't remember letters. That's why I put 'Teach' in there because I always remembered you were a teacher like my former wife who died of brain cancer.

Many people have come and gone from this wonderful site...You are so right about not letting this site consume our lives. The blogging loses its luster when that happens and we have no experiences to really write about.
