- Go to A probable Goodbye... and Afzal asked me to post this for you
Like Afzal, I am extremely busy
but I am working on a new site with a new approach, less expensive and with no one getting booted. Please stay in touch so I can keep you up-to-date.
As to the matter at hand, the important thing in Faith is not Belief but Love. And, though I have not met him personally, Afzal shows from his writing here to be following that Way, which is also mine. I have called him "brother" here and I mean it.
There are also, sadly, elements in the more powerful sects of Islam which set Love aside in favor of beliefs which work against Love, particularly against the Love of God. I am talking here about the notion that Muhammad is the last prophet and hence that there are no prophets today. This denies the Love of God brought to the world in the prophets of our age. It also denies what I consider a pivotal part of Muhammad's message, that there can be prophet in Arabia and, therefore, in other parts of the world and in different times.
Similar problems have afflicted Christianity, notably with the Church of Rome (Catholic Church) and its obsession with dogma and persecution of those it deems heretics. The common theme is belief being an instrument of earthly power working against the generous sacrificial Love of God.
Got to run...

Just hold on young lady.. I just got back. NOBODY is leaving!
I don't know what is going on, but remember the times when I left because of other bloggers? After that time, I vowed that I would never let other bloggers drag me away from here. I think everyone needs to cool off before calling it quits. Anyway, you will probably be back eventually.

FSI...
I don't think anyone will be leaving just yet, but I don't think things are ever going to be worked out.
Some good news is that the offending posts have been brought down. But the same party just wrote another offending post about us. They don't get that by their initiating an angered reaction it is "flaming" and against the rules here.

Spitfire...
The original post wasn't really what started the trouble. The post had it's mistruths about Islam, yes...and Afzal commented, very politely I might add, asking Justi to check her facts or the Quaran before posting wrong information.
Justi flipped out and made a new post to Afzal with his comment and attacked him personally and his beliefs...that is what crossed the line and is where I got involved.
If Afzal was some radical like Justi had implied of all Muslims... she could have expected something similar happening to her as to what happened with South Park for what she had said to him about Mohammad.
She crossed the line, Blogit agreed that the posts were unacceptable material for here. She hurt Afzal... yet she is the victim.

I really can't say anything about this
because I didn't read the original post that started this whole thing. All I can say is that freedom of speech online exists but not in the same way it does in a private, member site. People can basically say whatever they want and that is their right...whether right, wrong or indifferent. I have been insulted (not personally) but insulted for my beliefs many times; being a non-Christian, a clairvoyant, a believer in ghosts, etc. I just either speak my mind politely or I leave it alone and move on to another post. It's a catch 22 sometimes. I'm just sorry that anyone got hurt or upset about anything, especially on Blogit.

Sam... I wouldn't even know where to begin.
I don't have the desire to do the research that would be necessary and to go into the length that I would have to go into describing different aspects based on different countries and laws, and everything else it would involve.
I only wanted people to know that just because some things are practiced, doesn't make it the norm of the whole group, and that because there are a few sick people in the world doesn't mean that everyone in the said race or religion is sick. I tried to explain that in Sunny's Day.
My real concern is Afzal and with anyone hurting him or making him look bad by categorizing him as being in a group of undesirables.
I do wish Afzal would try to educate more in his posts. He has first hand knowledge, but I know he is so busy already and doesn't even have the time to post and read everyone here that he would like to.

Thank You, Dear Katray!
I will be here writing as long as I am allowed to do so.
I agree that lines have to be drawn somewhere. If I am banned for stating my mind about attacks on Afzal and the true religion of Islam and the "other" is not for their threats...then this is not really a place I want to be giving my money to anyway.
Thanks for your voice!

Sunny, hoping hard you will not be banned for speaking your mind and heart. You didn't threaten to eliminate anyone, so if
someone who did actually do that can stay here unchallenged, then I can't see why they would single you out. You made some good points about the hypocrisy of religions in general, keep your head up and keep writing your life and times. I enjoy reading and I know many others do also. And I will continue to speak out, no matter the counter effects. Truth and reason eventually triumph. Have A Great Day, Friend!

So true, Straightforward
Afzal will be here if he chooses to stay.
I won't be leaving voluntarily, but I won't be sitting silent allowing Afzal to be attacked.
And if history here at Blogit repeats itself, it is likely I that will be banned and not the one's initiating attacks on Afzal.
Because some here hate Muslims they gargle with mistruths about what Islam is actually about. They think that terrorism and baby rape = Islam...and it does not.
I will stand and protect Afzal's feelings as long as I am allowed to do so.

Good words of Jesus to remember and to follow:
• Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
• Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
• Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
• Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
• Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
• Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
• Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
• Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
• Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
• Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. ~Jesus
