Food 4 thought
Yes I remember a time when you did not need a hammer, scissors, and scredriver to get the top off a bottle of ketchup or some such. I do know that there was a lot of diseases when I was little. An aunt of my mother's lost eight children to flu and her brother's wife's family was wiped out except for her and her sister. I think that has lack of protection has passed.

F4T,
I'm grateful to live in an age/era where vaccines and current medical technology is available. I just sometimes wonder if the media plays a small part in freaking everyone out about some things. I.E. Swine flu. It was just another form of THE FLU. Just for the record, I DO have my kids vaccinated and I think those who don't are contributing to a future outbreak of old diseases we currently have under control. Interesting post!
