Re: Re:
CC - I have soaker hoses for my beds in the Hill Country area - and I have left them running sometimes for a couple days (and the water bill will show it) ~ I go back tomorrow to the hill country and pray I find some blossoms still...but I have been called by the gardener (his partner is dying of ca and has had a double amputation) and I have of course asked him to not bother right now... Life can be so cruel eh, CC?  Now, one more thing:  that was not my son-in-law to be, no...it was the seamstress - she was backing out of the picture for me to take my daughter's Sarah's pic.  ~ Thank you for your notes - they are always so thoughtful. Re:

Thank for calling E.E. I have just looked at your master piece, well I know you didn't make it because I remember when your daughter said Ma ma this one and I thought it was so nice to  have a child who respected her parents. I hope that wasn't the bridegroom standing in the doorway. I am afraid with gardening one has to be on the ball my sister has been away.

Can you water my pots? Yes  she only lives about three miles away, but I was surprised she had sixty pots all poked all over the place. We have been having it hot and we are charged for water by the metre, I have left the hose running on two consecutive days for about three hours. Black mark.

ah, I love these gardening notes - the perils of early bloom to weathery trust...I so know of this sad event...and some of my plants stayed in their pots too long - my gardener is away and I'm away and so neighbors are watering --- oh - I tell you gardens can be so gracious no matter I suppose.  Carnations - I've never grown these CC - nor Sweet Peas - for I feel they are too fragile for my heavy Texas green thumb. Thank you for calling D.S. If only we could keep our youthful ambition, so many things get in the way, although some are good things and those we must cherish.

Re: great story .....some of my pansies lived and bloomed again this year from

Very nice Kabu, but remember what I told you don't plant in the same place for a while.

Snow is quite good in winter as you have seen, it is the cold icy winds and continuous frosts that burn the leaves. A confession to make I pushed this through after I had deleted my first post. It was a little bit too undignified more C.G than C.C. Sob Sob.

great story .....some of my pansies lived and bloomed again this year from
spending the winter under 3 to 4 feet of snow. They are still blooming away happily.
