Oh CC - your writing is so entertaining...I see the vignettes and I want to jump quickly in the read but, must admit then I have to re-read - which I enjoy (always).  The nanny - the daddy and mummy and these names - I adore.  I think there is a bit of weariness in the mum but I have hope - I just think its of the 'times'  (I hope to be able to read this more as time beats near me to rush on - at any rate write on ~ (please) EE

Re: Corncrake
Lo Fema Thank you for calling it is hard to accept things sometimes  once when I was a boy I had to deliver goods to an old lady and every Christmas she would make a big fuss pull out her purse and offer me sixpence and every time I said no it's alright thank you. She always gave a pleased smile and put the coin back into her purse, well that's what I assumed.Maybe I was wrong

Re:
Yes FS but there is quite a bit as a rule unless one is meek and the other makes the decisions or they quarrel and then make it up. Once love goes out the widow divorce comes through the door. I know it's a twisted saying, but if they remain in love obstacles can be overcome.

Yes the kids don't know what it all about Wiley, when we became a bit more affluent my Mother had a fridge instead of a television, it wouldn't go down well today.

CORNCRAKE
I could really relate to this, what with John and Helen and me growing up dirt poor like in Angela's ashes with cardboard stuck inside me shoes to keep the snow out.

Wonderful jesture of giving and it is overwhelming when one is poor and doesn't know where the  next meal comes from even from an Aunty. God know our needs and will use others to make it possible..The lesson is understanding and kindness of being the acceptor. Blessings Mr. MB FEma
