Sinome Is 100% Correct!

I agreed with Sinome's comments. Since a couple on this website have labeled me a racist bigot because I am a southerner, have the confederacy deep in my bloodlines, have voted for blacks and women, stand up for the beliefs and principles that this nation was founded upon, then I proudly accept the title of a racist bigot. I love it. It describes me perfectly.

As you can see, the black panthers are racist and even recently terrorists have been labeled racists. I guess all of you are as well. Seriously, I look at it like this: there are blacks, whites, tans, reds and yellows but there are n*ggers in everyone of them. The word n*gger does not have a color connotation. I have had better black friends than whites and vice versa so there are my two cents worth.

Oh what is left of that hatred is deeply ingrained indeed... but as I said its a minority DS... not widespread ... what is all over is a sense of disgust and dissapointment, I guess Mr. Obama promised more than he could deliver or perhaps people read more into his words than was there... I don't know... but it is sad.  Its always sad when someone that has the potential to achieve ends up wasting his chance to do so.  xoxoxo

Re:
Marta, you make a lot of sense here, and it is true, no one votes for a victim;  but i do not share your view that there are racists in every corner of the nation.  I simply cannot bring myself to believethat such hatred is that deeply engrained still.

DSM - I do like your thought provoking blog(s)...however, I have not been on much -

Now, being not politically inclined (myself) - I tell you I do sense the air of animosity and intolerance - however, I feel it from all directions - from every race, creed - political affilitation, castes, classes etc.  It's a big bad world we have to share space with and ah, is why I like to write 'poetry' and make my beautiful corners more beautiful.  I pray for my grandchildren daily - I plant seeds in my 'gardens' hoping one day they will know of 'peace' but, especially that they can go to see MaMou's - M'Oma's gardens and reflect on 'beautiful' and yes, even tangible - something they can touch while the world revolves and spins until eternity.  It's a 'hot' time in life with all the 'change' bustling about...however, with change(s) comes disorder and confusion and frustration and sadly, sometimes it can get out of control but, until it comes to a point of 'clarity' and I'm thinking (honestly) we're not there yet...I cannot decipher what is happening first or who's on second right now.  I hope for the best - Great writing, my dear Sir.  Elyse

As an outsider no one has to play the "race Card" for the world tobe seeing
that racism is alive and thriving in the wonderful beautiful USA.  I feel so sad ...but it isn't just America........Anti Semitism is rising, religious intolerance is raging, name calling is on the rise...all the bogies have just been smoldering away World wide ..and are resurfacing amongst distrutful.......tribes.

{  Both sides should stick to the issues. I can see them, fighting for their interests, Name calling and overzealous crusades aren’t appropriate for dealing with the issues and next election. BC-A, Bill’sàRJLst

When president Bush was in office they used to call him ( deserved or not) every name on the book... they made ugly pictures of him depicting him as a monkey, a donkey and the like... they even attacked his courage, told him he was a puppet of his VP .  They found out he used to drink so from then on they call him a drunk ... well... you were here so you know what I am talking about.  Now president Obama is in the hot seat and in my book and in many other's he is doing a dismal job.  He is being called lots of names. Caricatures of him are abundant and not flattering.  He is being depicted as a monkey, a donkey, and the like... He happens to be black so some call him the n word. But you know what?  its not all racism.  Its criticism and if he can not take the heat, he should get out of the kitchen.  What did he think?  that he was special?  that no one was going to dare go against him in fear to be labeled a racist?  True there are racists in the Tea Party... There are also  racists in the school system and in congress.  RAcists are everywhere,  I am sure even in the White House, but they are a very small minority.  Most people that disagree or dislike the president are just ordinary citizens of this country. Some believed in him and have been let down by his policies, others are just tired of his non-action, but most just never liked him  in the first place ( after all almost half this country voted against him).  There is no excuse for a president to play the race card or to allow his followers to do it.  A president should unite not divide.  He has almost 2 1/2 years left and if he values the chance he is been given to serve his country he has better stop playing the victim, put on his big boy underwear and start doing what he was elected for... : lead.  Be well DS  :-)  xoxoxo

dsm - Eventually it boils down to race, religion or something like that isn't it. I think there is much unity when votes are required to win an election..

Fighting about race
I can't understand why it  has to always be about race, why can't it just be the republicans against the democrats? /LB
