I agree that you should not sell your house straight away especially if you owe more than it is worth right now. Renting a reasonable apartment does seem to be the way to go. You may find you don't even like it there/LB

No point selling the place if you owe more than its worth sweetie unless it is viable to get off the debt and pay it off. Sometimes I think that taking a loan to buy a property is more of a liability given the number of years you struggle to pay it off and the interest accrued. It is best if bought and paid in full but then how are the banks going to survive

and how many people can really do that. Poor thing..but if this new place sounds better, maybe you should consider..a new place, a new way of living ..sounds great.
