So very interesting, and also frightening.
So is their lack of scientific literacy in direct proportion to the depth of their hatred of the infidel?

It's not religion

It's a sort of socio-cultural isolation.

similar to that seen in various regions of the United States

and with especiallyexemplified by Blogit's conservative bloggers who reject a lot of science.

I disagree with you...I believe we are missing the link by trying to keep
science and religion apart. I'm thankful to the Jews (that gap mentioned) who have delved into quantum physics research, as well as the Indian Hindus with their metaphysical insights and the Christian creationists who bring truth to the forefront and tie it all up together -- What the Bleep do We Know and Quantum Thought are just two very good sources that give a more complete view of science/metaphysics together.  As for the Muslims, I tend to get a bit sick to my stomach at the idea of how we are all forced to embrace them when they have made it clear in their books what they think of non-Muslims.

yes, I have been wondering about this science christian movement
and what it is about. However, I do know that many jewish scholars claim that they can extract all scientific discoveries from theur very own religious  scrolls and books etc. I wonder about that, and how scientific it really is.

Reading about the lack of scientific research and lack of scientists in the country is something that makes a lot of sense given the amount of work you have put forth on Islamo-Fascism. The facts you provide really drive the point home.

Interesting post, Naut - as science and religion seem at most times to be diametrically opposed, (though interestingly, there are a number of prominent Orthodox Jewish quantum scientists) so strange to see any religious group claim scientific thinking....Mal
