- Go to Hot! Hot! Hot!
I know of what you speak. I've lived here all my life and a goodly portion of it without A/C. The nights were the worst.

I grew up in the summer tropics: New York and New Jersey
This is why I live in the Seattle area now. For the summers, idyllic in comparison with many other places! Sometimes, just idyllic.

Oh, you whiney babies!!! You wanna see hot? Grow up in Texas....go away to someplace just humid as hell like Kansas City....then come back to grow old in Texas!! I forgot how friggin' hot this place could get!!!! All the braggin' stuff aside, this is serious!!!! I will say that we are in the middle of a cooling period right now and out of the tripple digits for a few days.....but it's a well-deserved break. Seriously though, I still can't decide if broiling or baking is best....I've spent long-periods in both kinds of heat and still haven't made up my mind.....

Pat.....
It's 9:20 am and our heat index is 96! I wish I had a waterproof laptop so I could sit in front of the sprinkler!
