It is amazing what the ancients knew! I was so stunned, but pleasantly, how the temples were built in India! It is such a superb recognition and makes it so valid! I would believe it to be true that a little practice would transform a person! If I did not have a constant headache I would get more involved. I try to keep my mind busy on other things to attempt to ignore it, it''s when I stop that I have the greatest difficulty with this bane! But, as I write this it seems like an excuse not to try something that could help! I have a tendency to make myself pass out when the pain is too great. I still think I will put more thought into, even a commitment over time could make a difference. And, I just got a tidbit of info into the reason for the name of your blog! How very interesting for I remember you saying that this was your last stint here so to speak and all has been fulfilled! Amazing!

On another note, I have not been all that upset with my circumstances, with this exception of my fallout on my post yesterday. I truly believe it is easier to serve God when one is healthy, but it doesn't make for the greatest testimony of His wonders. And I love the Lord deeply in my illness ad try to do His will. There are people who cannot understand why I am committed to Him, but He is love and he is there for all of no matter the circumstance. I guess it makes it easier to live with when I know I am a testimony to Him.

This series is phenomenal and I have enjoyed the knowledge I have gotten to date! KUDOS on your layman's term for greater understanding! I wonder if you have thought of publishing these essay in the format presented on Blogit. I would think it would be highly successful for it is truly very understandable and actually makes one want to try it no matter the circumstance and I attribute it to your wonderful writing and explanations!

Thanks for stopping by and I am in the arms of the Lord and I will be fine! He truly sees to it even though some days are difficult! I do enjoy reading your work!!!! Shelly

Re: I love yoga, I have been taking Yoga since I was in college, but
That is something great, Tzippy. The word 'yoga' means addition, or to join. When I marry my girlfriend at that time it will be a yoga. Therefore its usage in a variety of sense. There are, in the main, four kinds of yoga - Karma yoga, the path of union with the higher/highest through works, suitable to men of active temperament. Gyana yoga is suitable for those who find pleasure in acquiring ad sharing knowledge, not very active in nature. Raja yoga, raja means king ... king of all yogas ... not many good teachers are available. This is also the  which one is best suited to your temperaments Patanjali's system where God is totally denied but in a very meaningful and rational way. The most scientific of all. Lastly, it is the Bhakti yoga or the path of devotion. This is generally suited to women or even men who are of the less ego - the path of total surrender and love. The best course is to experiment a bit of all, since you have been doing it for a long, long time now, and deciding which one is most suitable to your temperament, which taste it is that you like best. But otherwise too a regular simple breathing techniques too, is good for keeping the body healthy. Particularly, the anuloma-viloma and the Bhrastika pranayama breath control ways.

Re: I remember belonging to one bigoted Church where they were trying to teach
Such bigots are to be found everywhere, churches, temples, synagogues, mosques, who know nothing exceot rant. As ihey say , an empty mind is a devil's workshop. Nothing could be farther from truth. An empty mind is the most peaceful and the spiritual mind. That these teachings excites you is mine excitement too. Thank you for your continued reading, my pleasure.

I remember belonging to one bigoted Church where they were trying to teach
us that if weemptied our mind it would let evil in.....I felt my heart telling me the opposite, that by releasing self frommy mind I was allowing God..light into my spirit. Well LOL I never did really belong in a Church so your teaching here really excites me. Thank you our friend.
