I stopped a few years ago
and don't miss it, but this does recall my early attempts to quit.  Very nicely done

Unfortunately I'm still guilty of the crime.

I hate the smell in curtains Bob and I know it means curtains to continue. I suppose we can be excused for not knowing it was harmful. I suppose if one was in the trenches it was no problem. I gave it up at the same time as I stopped messing about with asbestos, but boy could I use one now.

Re: The only time I ever craved a cigarette at the irresistable level
Waiting for a city bus that was late, my mother used to say,"Here's how to make one come" and light a cigarette,
Of course one would show up and she'd have to throw it away.

The only time I ever craved a cigarette at the irresistable level
was when I was pregnant. And it only took one. I hate the filthy things. But sometimes I catch a whiff of smoke second hand and I can see my mother at the kitchen table sipping coffee and relaxing with a cigarette.

J{ Kent cigarettes used to sponsor The Dick Van Dyke Show. Their claim on the ads was that happiness was their cigarette. That’s the 60s song Happiness Is that Ray Conniff recorded. BC-A, Bill’s RJLst

Cigarette
Talking about a habit--- if a young adult wants to know what a habit is, speak to a present or former cigarette smoker,
