To be honest, I'm not usually that much into poetry (an emotional and introspective shortcoming that unfortunately affects many males ). Recently however, I've been trying to do more reading of fiction entrys in gen. and just discovered your entry, which I can relate to on a personal level! ( It's nice work.)

Extremely personal poem and I like the voice. Had to read 1st line twice..."blood is separation"..oh, which comes from the prick of the thorn!I found that relation interesting. As I got into the next few lines I could feel almost an encantation for healing, and it took me a moment to relate to a robin, and I was feeling the imagry was a bit rough around the edges for me--while I still heard something that makes this poem work! But I did get lost in "puff balls". I'm sure this has a lot of meaning for you, but I'm just a reader.

I get a haunting impression here, that there is a little something a bit irregular, which is exactly why it works!
