The prosecuting attorney who brings that old man to court
is risking his career. As for the thieves -- if they're smart they'll blow the country while they've got the chance.

That is ridiculous! It sounds to me like any half good lawyer could make a case for self defense there... After all he is 82 years old and they almost "ran him over" The thieves are the ones that commited attempted murder with the car... What is this country coming to? :-( xoxoxo

It surely isn't like it used to be in the old Wild West Days when a person could protect their own lives and their property with a gun, and horse thieves were strung up to the hanging tree. I'm not advocating that we go back to that, but there ought to be some half-way point for settling things.
