Thanks Guy, no wonder I have so much trouble with my computer, hence the need to further feed the addiction with yet more scans etc. It really is a vicious cycle isnt it?.

I am constantly deleting temporary files, a habit I got into with our
very first computer which had a very small hard drive, and very little storage space as a result....now we have a newer computer with an "endless" (word used by my son-in-law who is a computer geek) hard drive and space, but I still delete all those tempoary files at least two or three times a day...

More than 19,000 (!) fake anti-virus, "fix-my-infected-computer" web-download sites, designed to do exactly what you are trying to protect yourself from! Not all of these bogus domain registries, are even being used yet. They are just laying around unused, waiting for when new cyber-defenses, or bad publicity makes the old ones being used now, less LUCRATIVE! By the time the scammers are done, only a couple of sites will be trusted, and used by us bloggers.
