Buddha, as I believe him to be, is among the highest spiritualists ever born. He was a prince but he renounced the world. When he attained to Buddhahood, he was known as the Compassionate One. You will be surprised to learn that he was the exact opposite of Bhakti and a true Gyana Yogi believing solely in the stremgth of the self, atma. Even 2500 years after, Buddhism is alive and kickng. No wonder~! 'I am the pure, peaceful soul' is their mantra, and it works. Theu are the highest proofs.

How very profound that he said it would always be with him (the one who spat), for I believe it is that as well! But even more striking for me was that it reinforced what I commonly say and that is 'One is no better than the thing that annoys them.' It is about keeping the inner peace, peaceful! These sages just knew it all! Shelly

your post has been reminding me tobreath to center myself to empty
away thoughts unworthy and try realhard to fill my soul with God. Not easy for it is terrible the hidden thinking that slips in sideways at times just when I feel I am reaching a new plain of peace. Thank you dear friend for allyou write and teach and present to us to absorb or not as we like.
