Can you tell us where we must send our letters, Nautikos? Because we MUST!

Nautikos
Where do we write....who to?  To our government?  To a representative of theirs?  I am so ignorant of where to even start and I don't really want to get on a lot of mailing lists....that's a horrible and petty concern, isn't it....but I would certainly be willing to write someone, any one...and as far as the Muslims not speaking up, their silence speaks volumes doesn't it?  This makes me so angry I could spit nails...while, at the same time, breaking my heart so much I can barely breathe......and frustrating me so much I don't know what to do with myself right now so I need to shut up.

It's ashame that we live in a world where this sort of thing is happening with those in power causing it or ignoring it as those bigwigs are doing...It makes my stomach sick to read of what is going on over there.

This is one of the most barbaric things in modern times that I know of.  The whole thing from beginning to never-ending horror will haunt forever.  I absolutely cannot imagine anyone being willing to throw a stone at a woman buried in the ground up to her chest.  I pray that this does not come to pass, but I have a feeling that those hard-hearted people are pretty determined.

and I don't know what to say... what can one say when faced with such cruelty, such ignorance, such hatred... its sickening and you are right in that if there are muslims out there that do now agree with this horror then they should speak out... let themselves be known and counted, if not so that the rest of humanity can respect them, then as their moral duty .  Its just not right that we sit idol and allow that to happen.  I feel diminished as a person and as a woman for knowing it is happening and not doing anything to stop it.  Aweful stuff my friend.... :-(

And here we see why there needs to be a separation of church and state
And while in the modern world there is no justification for stoning anyone to death, what we keep seeing in the die-hard fundamentalist Muslim countries is an embracing of ideas of the Old Testament that all rational thinking people know are out dated and barbaric. This is why fundamentalism from ANY religion is dangerous and should not be tolorated.  It attacks freedom and destroy society.  Iran clearly is a country that follows the rules of the Bible. Yes in the old testament of the Christian Bible it demands that you stone women guilty of adultery, so thank you for presenting a perfect case as to why we should NOT create our laws based on what the Bible says.
