This blonde sits here as it all just goes flying over her head.....zzzziiiiiippppp.....swooooossshhhhhhh!!!!!!!! But, thanks to your posts, I will at least not have such a glazed look in my eyes if someone happens to mention it....not a very likely event in Llano, Texas though.....

I'm house-sitting for my mom here and there might as well be a wall around the town....if I go to my place at Sunrise Beach, the folks are a little more likely to acknowledge the rest of the world exists so it might come up at the local pub

....well, maybe.....

Is that thing still going on?
I thought it was canceled because of the hearing loss of thousands of spectators from those silly little horns.....

What a big deal it all is. Since I don't keep up with it all normally, I find your posts here quite intriguing.

And here, in our melting-pot city of Montreal, it's neighbor vs neighbor; the national flags of competing teams flying from (and off) doorposts and automobiles; taverns & clubs picking a team and going whole hog with the celebrations (for a win) or mourning (for the loss). I don't think politics & sports should mix, of course, but certainly love the FRIENDLY enthusiasm of the fans in our city.

I find it amazing how seriously the World Cup is taken. In America to the best of my knowledge we really do not have anything that comes close to that. Then again, being American I might just be blind to the extent.
