I very much appreciate the honesty with which you blog about your performance as a parent...The freedom you speak of is indeed so important for kids to have. I've seen kids and teachers without it fare poorly in the classroom.

it amazes me when a man does the parenting such as get a child up and feed them, that didn't happen in our home, but I never worked either. Spite my lousy parenting my kids turned out pretty good

dsm - This is an excellent write, I think what you say is so important. I am not the best parent in the world I must admit and I am still learning...never an end to it even as parents. I just thank God that my girls are both independent with a mind of their own and after some time you just have to let them lead their own lives. Thank you for sharing.
