Who was it that said revenge is a dish best served cold.....one of the Bard's characters? I do'n't know, the whole thing sounds absoluuuuuuutely crazy to me......I simply cannot immagine wasting so much energy holding onto bad feelings over anything, much less a sports match....and I realize in their minds it's a matter of national pride, not just a sports match....but, it IS a sports match. Of course, what am I saying, aren't these the same things where people have been known to be trampled to death as they exited after viewing........heavy sigh.....and we talk of hopes of ending wars???????? Great post!!!!!!!! (BTW, that book about how much soldiers actually love the excitement of war.....just like the movie "The Hurt Locker".....it all fits....war, World Cup.....top of the heap, toughest, meanest, most ripped.....Germans, Vikings.....it's as it's always been and always will be....so, how's it all going to stack up with the Islamic "code"?......Ommmmmmmmmmmm)

Reading this the thought that popped into my mind was, "And they say time heals old wounds." In the case of war and calls gone wrong, it does not.

A marvelous post especially since I never watched soccer played before Kabu came into my life. I love the game but could do without those referee errors on goals and also so many 'sham' hurts from players who are better actors than sportsmen.
