Re:
I did not have the time to collect even the 100 signatures to get on the ballot for it, but I am running for the House of Representatives from the Sixth Congressional District.  The election is in November.  Basically, I am working on my book and will try to tie in its release with a write-in campaign.

so... what is it you are running for and... when? :-)  If you are not, you should be.  Great ideas in that document :-)  xoxoxo

I liked your ideas! I spent my career in education and it wasn't easy! The funding needs to be changed, especially as the baby boomers age, it could get even worse! sam

Re: cpklapper

Thanks, abanerjee for taking a stab at it.  In a nutshell, the political parties are concerned about whether the municipal property tax is high or low, while I don't want it at all since it helps defeat school budgets and thus interferes with the schooling of my children.  Within reason, I do not really much care how high state income taxes go as a result of abolishing the municipal property tax.

I have yet to develop my understanding on this front. Taxes are something 'stange' to me.

You have put a lot of thought into this.  It was very interesting to read.

I'm very glad to read a solution offered. Often we tend to read and hear, "The school systems are horrible," with only simplistic solutions offered at best. As for how I believe that your suggestions work, I do believe that they can work with the key of course being that the people get behind them.
