This is a wonderful post. I would have loved to have been with you and your boys on this outing. It is what we always did with our sons when they were that age. As much as we have explored in CO, I don't ever remember seeing this place. I just googled Jefferson County and the history of IH and Mr. Walker's dream. How fascinating.
