I remember when I worked at an American air base in the UK, where I was allowed to use the up-to-date punch card to send requests to the States.  The cards were still sent via snail mail, but as the snail mail wa the Air Force's own snail/air mail, things were done extremely fast.

Reading this had me wondering how many of the many people I have lost track of over the years I would find on Facebook. But no matter how tempting, aside from the fact that the whole thing would be too time-consuming for me (I spend enough time  frivolously on the computer, such as on Blogit, LOL), there are other things about that whole Facebook scene that don't appeal to me...

I tried that Facebook for one day, decided I didn't want to be so involved with all my relatives.

I love the thinking back ...you set my mind off and running with you
I don't have time for face book and there are some people I don't want to talk to either.

I'm afraid I just can't take it all in.  Just yesterday, a friend and I were remembering the Army Records Center and the Air Force Procurement Office of 1960 and wishing we could have shared with them a 2010 laptop to take the place of the monster teletype machine.
