I liked the omniscient voice in this very descriptive poem! It has taken me forever to get to your blog but I will be caught up before I exit! Love you my Shobana! Your sam

The sqirrel and the woman reminded me of the nobel laureate Wislawa Szymborska, the czech poetess who, in a dream sequence saw her long-lost mother call out to the squirrel and the squirrel was she herself, the daughter. Well done, dear Shobs.

Woman and
Shobana you can write about simple things and make them turn into something rather unique. \it feels as though it is easier for you to do this now. \as for your question. Yes once for a long time, but not for a good reason.

You write about the simple sights of life so well. These things are very much meant to be treasured.

Beautiful work, Shobana!
My first minutes of wake up in the morn are spent sitting at my kitchen table with coffee and watching the show in my backyard through a glass, undraped door. The perfect set-up for being unobtrusive yet in full view. Squirrels do high wire acts on the utility lines, rabbits scamper and hide under the shadow of the trampoline (or so they think, lol) birds of varied color and size flit from tree branches to ground in search of food, warbling all the while. Flowers seem to wake up and reach for the sunlight. It's my favorite time...:) Your awesome poem reminded me.
