Good point and if you've ever watched the reality show "Intervention", they are doing just that. I had a friend once that I'll never forget that told it to me straight when she thought I was going in the wrong direction. At the time, I distanced myself from her and we parted ways. I didn't want to be told what to do. But years later, on the other side of the state, I had the good fortune of randomly sitting right beside her at a fireworks display...we recognized each other and I was able to tell her how thankful I was for her honesty. A good friend, to be sure. Very thought provoking post, adnohr!

Some times the only thing left is tosend someone we love away....we aren't
helping them by allowing them.....but it hurts knowing they may never get back. I think that you are a true friend.

I think life might better for all of us if we learned to treat ourselves
like true friends, do what we know is good for us. Life on the cozy side for once, instead of standing out there on the edge in the middle of the storm.
