I agree, there are a lot of acquaintances out there and good friends are hard to come, and it is unfortunate, my two best friends here in Memphis have elected to move within two days of each other! So, I am stuck to venture out and find new friends. In addition to my good friends leaving, my husband's best friend is leaving as well. It took me almost two years to make friends here and it took just one year for them to all leave :(

Its not easy making new friends in a new city
but I think that those few girls do not make the entire memphis population. I say dump them and keep looking for a better friendships :)

I can understand this very much! It is too bad they can't see from your point of view! It would be enlightening for them and a learning experience, too! I hope you can find those true friends one day soon! sam
