You really touched on a popular topic here FSI. Being able to communicate with people from all over the world is pretty cool and like any community, some will get along, some won't, some break up and some get together.  I suppose that's how life is...people come and go.  I always enjoy visiting your blog FSI. Your not thinking about leaving are you? Hope not... I'd miss you.Flower

That's for sure. There are some fine people on this site that I've been privileged to know, if only through their comments. I count myself fortunate. We miss the good ones that leave.

At some point I will do that though I would probably just go ahead and do a post about each one.

There are many sites in which to post but none as unique as blog it. Writing else where you get people responding from intellects. Only serious writers come to blog it for it you have to put your money into it you better not be so flighty. The comments I receive on this site I thank and appreciate. It's a push I need when I need it even when I'm away for a little while.

Just doing a little bit everyday is helpful.  I appreciate all of you who stop by to read what I wrote!

I have almost quit a couple of times, but I have been writing more regularly since I've joined blogit. That was my main reason to join, was to help me write, knowing someone was actually reading what I wrote. I really wish I had more time to be able to write more, but I write when I can and read when I can.

That was a good post my friend, I've been here for 7 years now but have backed away a few times when the place got ugly for me and then I came back because of the number of great friends I have in here compared to the few bothersome bloggers.

Re: Former Student Intern
You do a fine job of communicating your intentions. You have nothing to worry about. Thanks for the taking the time to elaborate though.

Former Student Intern

^ Since you’re the son of an employer and a boss yourself I worried about my comment that was influenced by my issues around the time clock and careful reference to the Riot Act and that being the colonial American version although I agreed with your father’s decision to fire the worker. And, you worry about the interpretation of your own writings. Again, your good attitude shows through on this poat. For myself I always hope that I communicate my intentions. BC-A, Bill’s RJLst

Yes, there are various reasons bloggers come and go. I almost cancelled shortly after subscribing last year. Very insightful post!

It's mostly the.......
popping of the bubble of "expectations" as far as earning are concerned.  Blogit does overhype a bit with their descriptions of the site.   Newbies also don't learn how to "play the game" to garner attention and become discouraged quickly........Wallflowers cannot bloom here.....

This is as much a social network as a writers site....was that intended?  Probably not, but it was a natural progression.  The positive qualities in this matter is that it is a very safe "social site"......It's not open to the prowling schools of trolls and flamers.   We demand a respectful level of behavior....providing a "safe harbor" for residents....A "gated Community" if you will.

Some drop back in from time to time.... for example, Joe Love is back.

I really enjoy the place...I wish I had more time to browse  and comment more.  I am so limited in my time that I have to focus on the point I want to make ad sacrifice on the interaction side...........

Bloggers
Perhaps some set a time limit as I have done, I used to play games, but sometimes they wanted one to do things that one found one didn't like doing even though one knew it was only play time. I can understand people becoming frustrated when having written something one considers quite good or amusing one receives little response. Perhaps Blogit should have a few phantom readers to add a remark or two, a bloom not cherished dies etc.   C.C.

Yes some chase bloggers off, I was almost one of those, but I decided I was a stronger person than that

I was looking through old posts and comments, so many have gone!!! And the new writers used to be many, now there are a handful.

I think you are right with your assessment! There are so many who have come and gone in the short time I have been on Blogit! There are some I really miss, too! sam
