Fascinating! I guess when you get broadside to those breaking waves you flip! And although I am a water rat, I have never done any white water rafting, although I've been on a raft riding the tidal waves in the Bay of Fundy...!

I have not been down Ruby (that I know of, I'll have to ask the Husband) but I've been down stretches of the Salmon and it is pretty wild. There's a patch that always flips me; literally sends me flying. Although I love rafting, I never look forward to that area. If we don't hit it just right, I'm airborne into Heaven only knows where. I don't love that. Your poem was excellent in taking me right back; very descriptive. Nice job.
