Yes, WaterKat, Anne was a very honest beautiful young lady. For years after I read her diary, I was ashamed that my family on Dad's side came from Germany. I am no longer ashamed, but it took years to understand that not all Germans were/are evil. Still, I have no desire whatsoever to see Germany...except for the place in Hadamar where the Liberty Bell stands. (The specialised concentration camp where millions of disabled children and adults were either sterilised or murdered).
As I wrote at the beginning of that story, it was based on a dream I had about Anne. She was just as honest and gracious and beautiful as I have always imagined her to be.

What a coincidence...
I too read Anne Frank when I was about that age, 12 or 13, I think in the first year of (junior) high school. I never forget, in one part of the diary, how stunned I was that a girl was writing about her period, which was something you didnt do back then. And just like you, it left a deep impression on my soul. What a great honest person/writer she could have turned out to be.

how very touching, i will never accept and act as if the sensless
death of so many millions was just an oopsie mistake that i should forget. I will never understand how an entire nation could have found it acceptable and followed orders.
Sadly, it is now once again at the works. Islam as we speak is planing once again to eradicate and murder all jews. Does the world react and protect, NO! and it is in the plans to do that same deed again. And the world is standing back nodding their approval once again led by the president of the united states of america Obama himself.
