I so wish we would entertain alternate sources! I am understanding this event is twice as bad as originally feared! And I am sorry for the folks in England who had their pensions invested with this giant company, but as we learned in childhood, if you make a mess you have to clean it up! And to blame the President for his rhetoric is bull, they brought it on themselves and they have to make it right! While some may be seeing a dip in their portfolios, others are losing their livelihood! Just my humble thoughts! sam

It seems like every newsbit gets worse and worse. Talk about demoralizing...I think this could be the time that brings alternative energy into focus. With the midterm elections upcoming along with some other remaining primaries, we need to ask our politicians to address this subject!

By now I believe it is pretty clear that logical thought would point elsewhere than to deep sea drilling.

Never did I support the merger of Amoco and BP. BP’s too far removed from the U.S. It gave them too many stations to handle the supply. Bill

And we sit on our behinds.....
with more coal and natural gas than the rest of the world combined.....with our hands tied by a regime bent on destroying our economic system......whose goal is to totally transform America.......

There was a focus group on last night with 50 people from Louisiana, not one wanted our fearless leader to stop off shore drilling that is pumping our country's life blood out of the Gulf....they maintained, as I, that the reductions of close in drilling is the reason for the much more costly and dangerous deep drilling happening in the first place.

It's nice to dream of wind and solar......but there's a catch, as Spain discovered....you still have to make money on the output end.....it has to cost less to produce it than you sell it for or it won't work.    Gubamint subsidies is the only thing keeping the attempts afloat......but  as this regime believes.....just print more money and bring the economic house of cards down faster...........

I don't even want to think about it.
My love of beaches and coastlines and waves rolling in and beautiful sunsets over the ocean have been greatly challenged lately.

Yep!
Windmills work great in the midwest...well, until the tornado comes. You are fooling yourself if you think any nation can get anything better than oil.
