Re: dsm
I've been thinking about your comment and part of my doubt about Joe comes from knowing his family. I know I raised my daughter with certain values, Joe's mother is an alcholholic/past meth addict. His father was a a party hearty type who was never at home. And Joe hasn't gone down the aisle to an altar call and made a profession of faith. Perhaps that will come, but he doesn't seem to be broken enough to surrender to God. And there is his domestic assault charges. That pent up anger doesn't dissipate overnight even in a beleiver. I know that from my wonderful family of origin!

I wish them both well as they restart their relationship. Joe certainly does have a lot to prove.

Re: TAPS
Yes, the grandchildren are top priority. I pray the parents get it together for the children's sake.

It is all about the test of time! It would be wonderful if this indeed were a new start, but one day at a time is best!

One has to just take it one day at a time when dealing with other adults, even if they are your children. I pray you always be there for the grandchildren and do whatever you can to make their lives better.
