This is not about the teachers.......

it's about the tyranny of the Union.   One note, no one is forced to become a teacher.  It is a life choice, those doing so go in with full knowledge that it is not a wealth building program.   There are exceptions especially when it comes to the retirement and benefit packages extorted by the large teacher unions in the Bluer states.

But as always you choose to digress away from the point of the post.....the teachers were asked to make a small sacrifice because of the economy....just as every citizen was having to do......their unions refused to help out after years of padding and gorging their benefit plans far beyond the private sector........

ANYBODY HERE A TEACHER? Corbin? Justi? RSM? Huh?

From what I've read, I think not.

Teachers are some of the lowest paid professionals

Teachers have to try to teach 40+ students in a classroom -- and in high school -- forget it!  And you need post-grad education for high school.

Imagine in some of these schools being afraid for your life -- especially if the schools don't have metal detectors.  Imagine trying to teach a bunch of kids that don't want to be taught -- just have to be there because of the law or because their parents want them out of their hair.

Too many times it's an unrewarding job.

Mr. Christy and most of you guys are the ones in  the ivory towers, not knowing sh*t about what happens not only with teachers or other areas of the lives of lower income individuals.

And if the teachers' union didn't have a lobby, you think they would have any kind of voice at all?  They have to compete with corporate lobbyists and corporate money which I would wager far surpasses anything the teachers union can provide.

You never have, and never will, say any about corporate influence, where the only thing that matters is corporate profit.
And that's where the real sin is.

The American Education Association is about educating the lowest 10% grade level of University graduating classes to be able to control the whole education scheme to pad their pockets while whining about how bad it is. Truly a corrupt system. Thank you for your comment I don't know what happened but  my last post copied as a comment on the previous post. I put a link to your video. Thank you, we both see Helen Thomas alike.
