Sensitivity is the key to finding the solution. I have often found in my work that several different ideas being talked about leads to parts of them being taken to create one.

You are right.
Though people may have similar stories, that doesn't mean that their situation or feelings aren't different.
It's hard to advise anyone without knowing the person and specific situation involved.
