- Go to Living with Jag: Do Dogs Know a Past?
I wonder. Intriguing. What religion is it believes dogs can become human in their next life if they are so aspire and are GOOD dogs. I forget, but I'll look it up and get back to you.

Thinking of time as a continuum is difficult for we 'humans'....we see everything as so finite, which is what we've been taught. Einstein understood differently, and many others as well. I wouldn't be surprised if dogs 'get it', having never had the social training that we've had.

I wonder...
what it is like to see life through the mind of a dog.

I'm not sure what dogs know or feel or remember or sense.
I have very much enjoyed learning about some of that by watching Caesar Milan of the
National Geographic channel.

Hi Naut,
I have never thought much about that. I think they could know a past.

I am quite curious to see where this is going to lead to. I look very forward to seeing what conclusion(s) you will arive at.

yes, if you buy a dog or a cat from the rescue...and you can tell
what ill treatment it has had in the past......Mr. G. was so protective of his tail now he is way less as he has learnt we won't hurt it. all sorts of things I can see from his past that he obviously remebers. No I have no proof....except study of all the animals I and my peers have known.

Naut, I have observed that dogs have long-term memories of VITAL past info!
